Sending you birthday wishes---by Belle

It was a real long weekend for me. We held a BBQ party for Belle on Saturday night . We invited her friends and families came to play. Also her friends slept over with her. She was so excited. I started to prepare everything from Thursday. After everybody left on Sunday, I was exhausted. But I was happy because she was happy. She made other birthday card for her friend. First one I posted last week https://sunnyscraft.blogspot.com/2017/07/birthday-card-made-by-belle.html

Belle told me something about today's card. She was  a winner for A2Z scrapbooking challenge on June. She won $25 gift card to shop at A2Z store. She bought three Hero Art stamp set. She wanted to use one of those to make a birthday card for her friend. Also she wanted to enter July 's challenge. I was so happy to post her card here.

She made it a shaking card. She colored all puff fishes and die cut them. And she painted background by watercolor. Waiting background card drying, she die cut the bottle shape front card and glued acetate behind bottle shape to make a shaking window. Aslo she die cut a anchor and glued on the right corner. She used different color markers to add dots on the front card.

She glued all puff fishes on the background card she watercolored and stamped the small fishes group and sea grass. She added some clear jewel drops on the background. She put sequins and glitter inside for shaking.

Birthday card made by Belle

One of the Belle's best friends' 12th birthday is coming. She decided to make a birthday card for her.

She used her favorite Lawn Fawn How you bean bundles to make this birthday card. To her this card is easy to make, but I like her idea for making those shiny star by herself. I like to share how she make those stars.

She used the copy paper (not cardstock) , put glue all the paper and drop the glitter she chose on it. Let it dry thoroughly. She waited one night. Next day she used the star die in this bundle to die cut all star. Those stars are not only shiny but also texture. They have 3D result. I like her idea.

The rest of thing was normal. Die cut jar, lid and beans. Colored them and glue on the card. She did a little black ink on the card. She was upset, but I thought it's ok. Her friend will still love it because Belle made it from her heart.

Finally she decided used the flower ribbon to cover some. That's good enough!

Think of You

Last Friday night we I talked with my mom, I thought I could do something simple together. I decided to make a background using Distress Oxide Ink. Mostly time I use Distress ink by sponging. This time I chose the watercolor swash and spritz technique. It's easy and fun. I could make a card background with talking with my mom at the same time.

I chose the Distress Oxide Ink wilted violet, fossilized amber, spiced marmalade and broken china. I put every color I chose one the craft sheet and sprayed water on it. Then I put my card on the colors and smashed and picked up. I got what I wanted. If not, I could  repeat. I let the card dry naturally.

Today I thought can use this background to make a card. I picked up Hero art wood mount stamp dandelion.

I cut the card to small piece. Then I put the white linen texture cardstock underneath and I stamped dandelion. So the part of flower stem will on the white card. I sprayed the frost on the colorful background. Let it dry. Then i used foam tape to mount on the linen card. I didn't put it on the center of white card. I left some space for die cut hello. I used very thin copper threads to tie a bow and glue on the stem and dropped a Nuvo jewel droplet on it.

I stamped sentiment. Also glue the hello on the side. Added some Nuvo jewel drops to card. Finally I mounted card to a black card base by foam tape.

Enjoy your vacation

This weekend when I cleaned my drawer, I found this cruise wood mount stamp. I had no idea when and where I bought this stamp. It's brand new, never used. So I thought maybe I can try it. Then I made this card.

I stamped the cruise ship on the white cardstock. Then I made the mask to cover it. Also I made 1" circle to mask area I planned for sun. Then I started made sky at first. Today I didn't used the spong. I used a old cheaper makeup brush to brush sky and sea. I used Distress ink broken china for sky and blueprint sketch for sea. Around sun and below ship I used the scattered strew and worn lipstick.

Then I colored ship using distress markers which I had it long time ago from Hobby Lobby clearance.  Then I tore the paper to make a mask for mountains. I covered upside by tored paper and below used paper line. Between this two paper leave some space that I sponged for mountain. I used the black ink to sponge this area. After took of the cover paper, I got the mountain shape that looked like behind the shop.

Finally I stamped sea birds and sentiment. This is simple card that I made. I think I still I have a lof space to progress. Maybe next time. Today here is it.

Supplies that I used

Oh Ship!

Sea topic is very popular this year. Most design companies releaseed stamp about sea, sea animals, adventure, surfing, pirates etc. it's hard to pick up only one. Finally I think I really love this Hero Art enjoy the journey stamp set. Since we were back from vacation on late of June, Belle with me already posted two cards by using this stamp set. One was Belle made bottle shape card and other one was I made shaking card. Today is third one.

For today's card,  first I die cut ship, anchor and "oh ship!" I colored ship by color pencils.

I sponged the ocean color from bottom to up by Stampin Up Ink. I used two colors ( pacific point and marina mist) to make ocean from dark to light. Then used the pacific point to stamp the wave, fishes and sea birds.

I used Lawn Fawn scalloped frame to cut card. Then I glued ship above the wave. I decided to add the twines on the anchor. I chose the red and white colored twine. I thought all card was blue color. I need some bright color to pop up.

Friend -- Distress Oxide Ink background

After I bought bundle of Distress Oxide Ink 1st release. I only used two colors. I don't know why. Maybe I just used to regular Distress ink. I used regular one more often. This weekend whenI cleaned my draw, I found some of my Distress Oxide Ink still in package. I thought I should use them. It is more easy to blend than regular one.

Then I made this card today. Later I will use leftover to make another card.

I sponged two Distress Oxide Ink wilted violet and spiced  marmalade on the watercolor paper. Then I slashed water on the card and used the paper towel cover it to move away some ink color. I sprayed the shimmer on it. And let it dry. This is my background card.

I wanted to mak second card for my sentiment. I put different color on the craft sheet. Sprayed water on it. And I smashed card on it to get different looks. I repeated many times to get what I wanted. After drying, I used MFT Friend die cut the word.

I used Lawn Fawn stitched hills die and rectangle die to cut background card edges. Glued it on the cardbase. I glued the sentiment Friend on the card and added the shimmer on each letter. I felt its color too close the background color. I wanted it popped up. So I used fine purple gel pen to drew the line along the letters. Then added some gum drops from your next stamp. Finally I wanted to add something on the card. I splashed the water color on the card. Also randomly added the glue on card and glued glitter on it.

Birthday flower shaking card

This weekend Belle was busy to complete her project-- Birthday flower shaking card. She started to her idea from I received this Lawn Fawn jaw stamp and dies. But she was busy at school that time. Yesterday she was happy to finally finish this card.

She bought flowers at local Hobby Lobby store when she did her school project. She used it to this card.

She stamped the jar image and die cut it. Also she cut a piece of jar for background and colored lower half.

She glued the acetate behind of jar frame. And colored the same position with background. So looked like the same inside and out.

She added two layers foam tape around the jar frame piece. She put some tiny beans and sequins in it . Also she put some branches that cut from flowers into the shaking card. Put the background piece to the jar frame piece to complete the shaking part.

She glued the shaking part on the heavy cardbase. Then she glued the flowers over the jar. She stamped sentiment and die cut them, colored and added on the jar.

That's her card she made. So proud of she!

I just received my happy mail from Amazon. I bought this lily of the valley wood stamp. Lily of the valley is one of my favor flowers.

I used mask tape to cover all around the flower. Then I sponged the Distress ink for background.  After sponging, I splashed a little water on the card. And put the paper towel on it to absorb water.  Also I wipe the color on the flower.

I used MFT in&bout diagonal stitched rectangle die to cut the edge. Also I added the pattern paper on th cardbase.I added the twine on the card and stamped sentiment. I used the foam tape to mount the card on the cardbase.

After I completed everything, I thought it looked a little simple. I wanted to add something. So I decided to add some Nuvo drops on the flower and leaves.

Today I made this shaking card by using Hero Art stamp set Enjoy the Journey. Since last month  I bought this stamp set, I with my daughter Belle still have plenty of passion to use it.

I stamped the bottle edge on the other white card and fussy cut inside to get the bottle shape window. I used the rectangle die to cut the the card. I glued the acetate on the back.

I colored the small ship and die cut it. I aslo die cut "Ahoy" from Love From Liz.

After the background card dry thoroughly, I stamped all kind of images on it. Then I glued  the ship on it. I put the sequins on it. I adde the foam tape on the window side and glue two pieces together.

Start Somewhere -- Hero Art

Before school year end,  I planned this summer would visit Grand Canyon. But plans always fall behind changes. We went to east coast. However my daughter was still excited because we visited New York City.

I love this set of 4 stamp set about national parks from Hero Art. Today I decided to make this Grand Canyon one. I want to go there next year.

I stamped the image one the watercolor paper. I do use the watercolor pencil, but finally I didn't add water on it. Because I thought a little rough texture was goog for wild place. I colored it from center to outside. I used fine marker pen to extend both side mountain to the end of paper.

After coloring, I used Hero Art postage stamps dies third one from smallest to cut image out.

I chose the black cardstock for base. I cut the tiny foam tape to up the frame that I die cut out from colored image by postage stamps die. Then I glued colored Grand Canyon into the frame.

I wanted to add some thing below the image. So I decided to use washi tape that I just bought them from Target dollar zone. I taped light green one under the start somewhere one. It's two layers washi tape.
