Friend -- Distress Oxide Ink background
After I bought bundle of Distress Oxide Ink 1st release. I only used two colors. I don't know why. Maybe I just used to regular Distress ink. I used regular one more often. This weekend whenI cleaned my draw, I found some of my Distress Oxide Ink still in package. I thought I should use them. It is more easy to blend than regular one.
Then I made this card today. Later I will use leftover to make another card.
I sponged two Distress Oxide Ink wilted violet and spiced marmalade on the watercolor paper. Then I slashed water on the card and used the paper towel cover it to move away some ink color. I sprayed the shimmer on it. And let it dry. This is my background card.
I wanted to mak second card for my sentiment. I put different color on the craft sheet. Sprayed water on it. And I smashed card on it to get different looks. I repeated many times to get what I wanted. After drying, I used MFT Friend die cut the word.
I used Lawn Fawn stitched hills die and rectangle die to cut background card edges. Glued it on the cardbase. I glued the sentiment Friend on the card and added the shimmer on each letter. I felt its color too close the background color. I wanted it popped up. So I used fine purple gel pen to drew the line along the letters. Then added some gum drops from your next stamp. Finally I wanted to add something on the card. I splashed the water color on the card. Also randomly added the glue on card and glued glitter on it.

This is so pretty. I've found myself doing or did the same thing. I got the 2nd set of oxides for a good price and haven't opened them as of this writing. Today, I'm going to play with two of them (lol).
ReplyDeleteLovely. I ordered my 2nd set. But still didn't shipping yet. I am looking forward to seeing your craft.
