Made a gift for my best friend

End of this month, one of my best friend will move to 4 hours driving distant from me. Her daughter is my daughters best friend too. We are sad about her moving. But this is life, we have no choice.

I decided to make a gift for her. We both love the mountains. So I thought I can make a mountains scene for her.

This time is a little different. I made a lot mountain scene card before, but those are all A2 size card. Small size scene is more easy to make.  Today I made a large size and put it in a 8x10 frame.

I chose the Bristol paper to make this scene. Bristol paper is very smooth and easy to blend. I sponged the sky first. Light yellow is first and coverd the circle. And sponged the light pink around the circle to make sun. And sponged the blue sky.

I tore the copy paper to make mountains. And left the below to make a water. At the end I stamped the some plants at the front.

New Adventure

Stampin Up! Wild About Flowers stamp set is going to retired. I love this set. So I thought I would used this to make other card to show this stamp.

I cut the white panel to 3.75x5. Then I covered four edges by wide masking tape. I pulled the Ombre ink pad through left to right. Horizon way. I used the retired Stampin Up Ombre ink.  But any Ombre ink works fine. I used four Ombre inks on the card.  After ink dry, I peeled the masking tape.

I stamped the brunch flower and sentiment on the white panel. I also added the black panel that a little large than white panel under the it to make black border.

Embossed flower thank you card by Stampin Up

Stampin Up has this really beautiful flower embossing folder in their new catalog. It’s available for everyone on June 1. I used this flower embossing folder make a card today.

I used dauber to add ink direct on the embossing folder. Then went through big shot.

I also used the watercolor brush to blend the colors on the image. Then added the shimmer on the center of flower. Camera didn't catch the shimmer.  Finally I stamped sentiment.

It’s very easy card, but turned out very pretty.

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day is approaching. I like to make a card for my mom even if she lives in other side of earth. Thousands of mikes from here.

I received the large MOM die from SSS.  I die cut the front mom by Lawn Fawn pattern paper and back mom by Stampin Up Elegant Eggplant paper. And glued it together.

I cut the white cardstock by 4.5 x 4.5. Then scored the four edges to make dimension.  I added the crystal brusho powder on the plastic bag and sprayed the some water. And smomsh the cardstock on it.

When I was waiting it dry, I fussy cut the watercolor flowers from the Stampin Up catalog. I stamped the sentiment on the card. And glued everything on the card.

Have a Wonderful Adventure

Stampin Up has a lot of great new products on new catalog that will be available on June 1, 2018. I got some of them from pre-sale for demonstrator.  I used sea of texture bundle to make today's card.

I sponged Distress Oxide Ink on the white cardstock. Then I sprayed the water on it and used the dry paper towel to dry it.

I die cut the net and sponged the color on it. It's a little big for the 4x5.25 card panel. So I cut off small part. I also die cut the tiny fishes on the black card.

I stamped the corals on the bottom of card panel. I glued the group of tiny fishes on the card first, then the net.  Stamped the sentiment on the right upper corner.

Color Embossed Panels

Recently I love to use embossing folders to make cards. Today I used this beautiful rose embossing folder to make four 4x5.25 panels. I got this beautiful rose embossing folder from UK magazine from book store.

Below two panels that I made them by positive side from embossing folder.

I used the sponge daubers to add colors on the embossing folder. Then went through big shot.
This one I directly put the ink pad on embossing folder. Then went through big shot.

Below two panels made the same process with above two panels, but only used color on the negative side on the embossing folder.

You make me smile

Recently I like to play the sea theme card.  Today I still used the seashell embossing folder to make a card. This time I directly used the ink pad  on the embossing folder, then went to through die cut machine. So I got this beautiful background.

I also stamped the shell on the other white cardstock. I colored it and die cut it out.

I embossed the sentiment on the black cardstock by white embossing powder.

I used the foam tape mount the shell and sentiment on the card. I also cut a piece of teal color cardstock just a little large then the embossed shell panel to make a thin color layer.

peaceful night

I am learning to  watercolor a night scene.  It's fun experience.

I used the circle mask paper to cover the place that I want to make moon. Then I watered the all paper and start to add blue color. I added many layers blue color. Each time I need dry it.

After I made the background. I stamped the tree and grass on the card. Also I stamped the birds on the moon.

I did a mistake about the sentiment. At beginning, I embossed the sentiment on the card, but I feel too white. I need fix it. So I watercolored the a piece watercolor paper like the card background. And stamped the sentiment on it by black ink pad. Then I fussy cut it out. and glue on the place that I embossed before.
